| consulting before banking i am an upcoming sophomore biochem / econ dbl major. although i am doing biochem research this summer, i intend to devote the next couple to financial internships.
and here comes my question: since it is so difficult for rising juniors to obtain summer analyst positions at ibanks, would it behoove me to just go with a consulting internship, reserving the ibank experience until the following summer. also, i want to gain experience in both fields, and i would be better off doing banking before my senior year since that is the time when the firms extend offers to impressive interns. |
