I see, I'll look into Nvidia. I have always considered them an option.

ixjunitxi, thanks for the input, though I'm an EE so I think I would be out of place as an engineer there

CesareBorgia, I work for a boutique ibank in LA. And if you consider the overtime, which makes up most of my time, my actual range is about 30-35 an hour. I work about 80-100 hours a week.

80-100hrs a week = no life.

You only have 68 hours to yourself ... subtract some more for travel/grooming/eating. This is why I did NOT want to go to law school.

Asset managers pay competitive street prices. Around $22.50-25. The big 4 pay around $25-28 for interns. Hedge funds and boutique IM/AM's pay very well with a good work/life balance.

At the NYC i-banks they'll pay you same rate as a first year analyst. For instance if they hire you at 65K out of college, that's the rate they'll pay you for summer internship (at least this was the case with my son, a CS major)...so about $1250 per week or $12,500 for a 10 week summer.

Analog pays $22 (the one near MIT) an hour. My friend works there.
Don't bother working at AMD LOL. GE has a great management program, forgot the pay though.

If you really wanted to know the info, you would go to Vault.com and get the salary info from there. Just pay for a subscription.

It just doesn't seem sensible to apply to a company that keeps operating on losses and missing production cycles.

Why not? If they can provide me with the experience, I'll do it.

Well that's admirable but the original topic was about highest intern pay, and for a company that doesn't offer formal campus recruiting (as opposed to Cisco, Microsoft) and gives 2,000 employees the pink slip... I'm not sure how much you can make there. You are better off working for Analog Devices if you want high $20+ pay with job stability. But hey money isn't everything, so good luck in whichever company you choose.

Thanks... I just want something that pays a lot for this internship - I'll carefully choose my options when finding a full-time job after graduation.
