I-Banking Hiring Crunch

From my observations, it seems like hiring for ibanks this is year is pretty bad. I've heard of people who had their FT offers taken back. It seems like people are suffering from the current credit crunch problem.

Anyone else have similar obvserations?

I heard IBs are interviewing with no intention of actually hiring.

^^ eeh somewhat true...its not that banks are not hiring...its more like recruiting has been re-adjusted back to normal...last year and the year before were just really good times to enter finance...

tough to get in

hey guys i spoke to a managing director of a bulge bracket firm yesterday and he told me that wall street firms were up to their neck with various other problems and that hiring may not actually be as active as it was in the previous years
