I recently had an interview with Microsoft for a summer internship and the recruiter told me I will get a reply within a week. One of my friend also had an interview a day or two before and he was told that he will get a reply after three weeks. What does this mean does this mean I am already rejected. Does anyone have any insight on this I am just very scared
I had a Microsoft internship interview as well. They said that I should hear in a week too. By that timing, I should have heard last Wednesday. Sorry to say, but I think that we were rejected.
well if you get accepted or get any reply let me know...but why do you think we got rejected...replying early might mean getting accepted or rejected ..man I am confused
After the interview is done, you should know whether or not you are going to receive the offer. If you made a strong connection during the interview and did not come off as a robot, you will hear back very soon. Otherwise, no luck and there are always other opportunities.
I think I made a pretty good connection with the interviewers. I left the interviewing thinking that I had a 50/50 shot, but definitely not "in." They asked a "how many _____ are there in _____" that I stumbled on. In terms of why we'd get rejected, they only take about 15-20 a year out of the whole country so you really have to shine to make it through.
My friends were asking the same questions to their professor. He said that they're just making up their minds or waiting to see if they catch anything better. Don't lose hope yet.
I had an interview on the 29th. The interviewer said that the recruiter/HR person would get back to me in two weeks. My interview went pretty well until he asked me to write a function that does X and Y. I did a good job of psuedocoding, but didn't actually get the thing down.
To be honest, I don't think I'm getting a second round interview. I go to a overall top school (but doesn't have a top CS or ECE dept) and interviewed for the PM internship position. My previous job experience was decent though.
I had my interview...it was kinda tough. I don't think I'd get a 2nd round interview (flight to WA?)....but I'll find out for sure by the end of this week.
