Finding Job w a Degree w Bad Grades

Hi

Im an electrical engineering student, and I am a 4th year at UCSB. I could graduate in 5, but my gpa right now is 2.3, which makes it hard to get internships now and would make it hard to get a job after i graduate. Does anyone have any advice on how to get any internships or jobs before or after i get my degree. Most internships if not all usually want at least a 3.0 gpa to even apply. Are there any EEs out there that had any luck on getting a job w not so good grades after getting your degree? I know I have to do something to make up for my bad grades with some type of work experience under my belt so my resume doesnt look terrible to potential employers.
