| To be rather blunt, you have a very slim chance of landing an SA position at a BB.
Most BB firms and top investment boutiques have GPA cutoffs of 3.5-3.7 (including GS, JPM, Evercore, Sagent, UBS, ML, MS, etc.). GPA is often used to weed out and filter the thousands of applications they get. If you have the appropriate GPA, only then will they look at the different aspects of your application.
Interns and summer analysts are a dime a dozen - no way BBs are going to pay a prorated salary plus a signing bonus to an applicant with a 3.4 when there are literally thousands of others who are more qualified coming out of top schools. It's the hard truth.
Consider looking at midmarket or smaller banks. |
