Can you major in math or physics or some other quantitative subject at a LAC that doesn't offer engineering, and then get into a well-regarded engineering program for a masters or Phd? D is aware of the 3/2 option at many LACs, but isn't interested in going that route: She wants 4 years at a LAC before pursuing her professional interests
