Environmental Science?

What kind of jobs can one get with an environmental science major? How much do internships in the field help in finding a job? How is the general 'job market' right now? Thanks.

many corporations (especially those that harm the environment, like big oil and gas companies) now hire enviromental specialist. You should definitely apply to those internships, and they get paid well.

yes, we are in the 'petroleum window' as you may already know, so big oil will pay very well for env studies/geology majors now.....

@ hye345

You can also look at internship and employment opportunities in the U.S. EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). There are also non-profits like the Sierra Club, Wilderness Society and more.
