I had never really considered Investment Banking until recently, I've worked as a Operations/Management Consultant for the past 5 years for PWC/IBM, I majored in Engineering in college, I'm wondering how could someone like me break into the industry, and what will the pay look like?

If I get an MBA, and specialized in Finance, will that work or will IBanks typically look for work experience in the industry before MBA as well?

Just wanted to know if anyone knows what kind of level I would come in, in terms of pay and if people like me can even get a position in IB, it seems to be an industry that does recruiting solely through University.

Probably because to college students, it seems like a glamorous position. Only so many people make it into IBanking anyways. A lot of these people only enter IBanking because it is a position that offers good pay and good exit options. I think if you went to a top MBA, you could probably land a job in IBanking. I'd say it's all about whether you interview well etc. Also interning.
