Media internships!

Hi everyone!

I'm a sophomore in college majoring in Communications. I'm trying to get an internship for this summer at a Boston area television station. Or any media-related internship.

Here's my problem: I only changed my major to Communications this past semester. As a result, I'm taking my first course now -- the basic principles class. My college doesn't really have opportunities to get involved with the on-campus television studio (or if they do, they are unknown to me and the general public), so I also don't have any direct television or media experience.

Does anyone know what my chances would be of obtaining an internship in that field, given my problems? Or of any places that care less about previous experience?

Thanks in advance! :]
