| IE major - banking internship opportunity.. Should I take it?
Hello there..
I am currently an Industrial Engineering major with a business minor and just completed my freshman year here in Boston with no prior work experience. I have come back home to Dubai in the Middle East and was considering getting an internship where at a french bank where my sister works, BNP Paribas. She said she could get me a job in the Treasury or Trade Finance section. My goal after getting an IE degree would be to get an MBA and then try to get an IE or business related job.
My question is, is it worth doing a pure banking internship? Would it look good on my resume when applying for IE jobs or would it not matter since its a banking job and is sort of unrelated to my major I guess? |
