I find that ridiculous. If you were someone not from the Washington DC/Metro area, how would you have time to find housing? dblh1922, I suggest you re-check your email AND your junk mail; search for them to make sure you haven't received anything more recently.

I find it weird because when they accept you, its a conditional offer, as in you would have to pass the background check before you begin work. They would have to notify you earlier than a week.

hey i haven't been on this website for a long time until i found this thread. I just received an email for an interview with the Domestic Policy Council for Fall. I was wondering if anyone else received a notification and knew what the interview process entails?

Thanks!

hi @qkslvrd12, I had an interview with the DPC a few weeks ago for the Fall as well. Its a standard interview, no big surprises so Im sure you will do well. Its a good sign to me that they are still interviewing because I was told I would not find out whether I was accepted or not until all departments held their interviews and sent the information back to the Internship Office. Guess I'll still look to hear something by mid-June.

Good luck with the interview!

A french student...

As you can see in the title and in ly writting I am a french student. And I don't understand what is a White House Intern... What is his work? What are his reponsabilities? What does he do simply? Because I have to write an essay as if I were a White House intern. I have to write a report outlining why African Americans were particulary affected by Hurrican Katrina, to justify giving Black families in the area federal aids to procure a vehicle and rebuild their homes.
Thank you for help; :-)

I received a request for additional writing examples and completed a phone interview with the DPC. As hottness stated it was pretty straight forward. Now the wait continues.
