p.s. i sacrificed applying to another internship because i wanted to wait to hear back from this one on the 20th. my advisor was going to write a recommendation for me if i didn't get this internship, but she was going to wait to see if i got this first (because if i did then i wouldn't apply to the other internship)...too bad the internship deadline is tomorrow and i can't apply to it in time and i don't even know what's going on with this one....FML

hahaha... omg you guys... this thread just gets better and better - personally I think the Bonnie Tyler version is classic and will not be missed at applefan!
I danced it out yesterday. It's so much fun... even if it was by myself. I could make a silly 80s reference to "dancin' with myself" butttttttt I think I'll stop now while I'm ahead? 
Oh and I vote for all of those potential intern reality shows. 
Honestly, I do not think they'll make us wait any longer and if they do... heads will roll!

George... funny you mention that. It did cross my mind - let me take advantage of your good thinking and my lack of judgement.
In relation to "heads will roll" - to those who may or may not be interested in my worthiness of an internship or a position in the government for the next 30 years, I do not have any plan or idea to inflict harm of any kind on any person or entity related to the intern committee members of the body that they work for and under. Furthermore, I only wish them well and a lovely night of slumber on the eve of reckoning day.

can i just say how this reminds me of waiting for college acceptances? i feel like the most important decision of my life (which it prob is) is going to be made tomorrow (hopefully) and i can't wait to find out. i have three classes tomorrow and i won't finish until 2, but you can bet that in between every single class, i'll be checking my email (or running to the library if i forget my laptop )
and now i think i should write my paper (and stop using so many parenthesis)

i don't know, real world sounds like it would capture the "soap opera"ness of all of the waiting, and the hopefully interning experience.
then again, we could do making the internship, and instead of diddy, we would have obama =)

and every week, we would have a certain mission...
one week, battle Ahmadinejad at the UN
next week, take on Kim Jong Il
other week, sell the Stimulus Plan II in a state like...say Alabama haha
and so on

the possibilities are endless
and our living quarters would be...the lincoln bedroom? maybe move it across the street in front of the old exec building in the Blair House, lol
