Life after service to your country

hey everyone.

i'm considering applying for the NROTC in college. I haven't really been able to find helpful information with the life after service. aside from law enforcement, are any other options really open? is graduate school after service popular?

i'm pre-med/pre-law; i haven't really decided yet. i know the Navy has a program giving you the option of attending medical school after graduation, in exchange for service after residency. but i was wondering if its common to attend medical school AFTER service. i'm considering the marine corps, and wanted to know what marines, in particular, do after service.

any information for me?

I've met a number of people that went to grad school after military service. If you do NROTC and wind up as an engineer or other skilled position then you'll have plenty of job options after finishing.

med school, law school .. business school. its common after service?

You can do pretty much anything you want after you get out of the service. The biggest thing is you'd be a few years behind, but generally people see military service as a positive (especially if you've been in a command-type roll) since it teaches strong discipline and work ethic, something most people in their early 20s lack.
