a friend who graduated from Baruch is doing actuarial work. You can only do that if you pass the actuary exams. He had a borderline 2.0 GPA but because he has 2 exams, he was picked up pretty quickly and makes around 65k right now.
another friend majored in accounting and works for a big four but he was in cuny honors and had a strong GPA.
a few work in operations, a few in finance, and of course a handful are still unemployed after graduating in May.
if you have a strong GPA you can probably work anywhere. Otherwise, start interning.
