| How much do employers look at college transcripts?
I have a slight issue. I can finish all my required college classes by the end of next year, but am forced to stay an extra year because of my school's residency requirement (that I can't get around). I feel an extra year would be a waste of time even though I'm not paying for my education, and am considering taking 12 credits and then dropping them after the official drop date. That way (assuming I can get a full-time job) I can work full-time, and obtain my diploma after a year of work (since by then I will have fulfilled my residency requirement). However, my last year of college will be full of W's for dropping after the official drop date.
My GPA will probably be mid3.8s, and I do not plan on getting any other W's on my transcript.
Will this significantly hurt my chances of getting a second job?
