2.5 GPA and graduating this may looking for a job

I'm an electrical engineering major and will be graduating this May. My GPA is 2.516 and I have 2 more semesters to go. I'm trying to bring up my GPA but 3.0 is the best I could do, but I think 2.8 is the more likely scenario. I'm worried that this is going to be an issue when I'm looking for a job. I've started looking since a long time and the question of GPA always comes up even though I don't include it on my resume. I've had some working experience but none related to my major. I've had 6 jobs so far and 3 out of that were positions where I really contributed to the department. I'm also quite active in university organizations and have held positions in the student body government and various student organizations. I really getting desperate because I've never been offered a job or internship related to my major.

Does your full time job have to be related to your major? Maybe you can get a university job?
