Hello Guys

I'm a newbie..I have got an internship at Intuit, Plano,TX.The company HR has informed me on phone that i was recommended by there interviewers. So i just wanna know how does it normally take for HR to generate offer letter...?

It has already been 1 week after the HR has informed me on phone..

I mailed them 2days back..then HR replied me back saying that she will follow up the manager and find where she is in the process?

I just want to know what is actually procedure followed by companies to generate Offer letter?

Thanks...

Make sure the offer is in writting. In this day and age, e-mail offer is very common. In fact, e-mail might be all you will receive and it is just as good as a regular mail. In your case, it seems that a final decision has not been made. When you get an official offer, you will be given ask to either accept or decline the offer in a give time frame.

The official decision probably hasn't been made. They might have had a couple interviews scheduled after you, and that is probably adding into the delay. It really doesn't take long to get a letter out once the final decision has been made. Some companies just sit on their ass until the last minute, so I probably wouldn't worry too much if they told you they liked you a lot.

Also did the HR people hint at an offer or did your interviewer?

    From my experience:
Internship 1: interview Thursday, verbal offer Thursday, official emailed offer Monday.
Internship 2: interview, verbal offer 5 weeks later, official offer from HR 1 hour later.

hmmm thanol..yeah ur right..yesterday a Sr Manager called me up and asked me couple of questions....so probably that was the reason for delay...and once the interview was done she said she would speak to HR and HR would be in contact with me...

Fingers Crossed about wats gonna b decision ... :(

From what you are describing, perhaps they haven't made a final decision on hiring you. Usually, they will tell you verbally that you are hired and then an offer will be emailed or mailed to you. If they are still asking you questions, it doesn't look like they've made up their minds yet. Good luck.
