What finance-related internships are available for the summer between sophomore and junior years? Is it hard to get a summer analyst internship for that summer?
When does the summer analyst internship start? Obviously it may vary by bank, but is it in early June, Mid-July, etc.?
If you're smart/proactive and go to a target school, you can get an internship at an investment bank or hedge fund as a frosh or soph, even without strong connections. You'll just have to network (i.e. find alumni and contact them expressing your interest in finance and ask if they can take any time to talk to you). It worked for me and I have a relatively crappy GPA (3.2).
