Ithaca MT summer program

Just found out I got in...not that it's very competitive but you do have to submit an audition tape. So is anyone else going?

i'm still trying to decide....i think i know but i'm not sure how close it needs to be in age to be okay. like, do you think its just like any audition where as long as its a younger female character its fine? i'm definately singing home for my ballad from B+B (as long as its okay...not sure cause its disney). i know its seriously overdone but its an easy ballad that i already know. and for uptempo...i havent for sure decided. maybe 'many a new day' (oklahoma)...maybe something else! yeah i have to decide really soon!
and you?

to get in, my pieces were "west end avenue"(uptempo) from the magic show and "unusal way"(ballad) from nine, so i was going to stick with them but if i'm having an off day, west end avenue will fall to pieces, so instead i think i'm going to do "willing to ride" from steel pier. i haven't emailed him yet because i'm not totally sure yet :/ this is random, but the thingy near your name says ithaca,ny, do you live there?

i dont know either of those...i wasnt sure if it was okay to do our getting-in pieces so i'm not... about the whole getting in thing...do you think it was competitive? i mean, my video was AWFUL (my best friend was filming it...half way though she started laughing and so i have this huuuge grin.) and i thought it wasnt hard to get in - otherwise i dont think i wouldve. but from the email addresses it looks like there arent that many people so maybe it was and i was just...lucky?
yeah i'm from ithaca - i'm actually gonna be living at home and just coming to ic every day. it kinda sucks but since programs like this are sooo expensive its the only way my parents would ever pay for it. i'm not like seriously into mt...i love it but i doubt i'm going into it. but i'm superexcited i get to do something like this:-)
so where are you from?

i wasn't sure how competative it was, but orginally i sent in a cd (our school has a recording studio that i can use for free) and they had me rerecord it and send in a dvd. I'm pretty sure the sound quality sucked since it was a disposable dvd recorder, but i have no idea since i haven't watched the tape i was completely surprised about how few of us there are.

i'm from jersey (trenton/princeton area) so i have to live in ithaca. (btw, you are sooo lucky to live there!!!) I guess you could say that i'm serious, i'm planning to get a bfa and such but i still want my acdemics and am looking for a backup in education if you feel like talking or what not, my aim is wudabeenahippie
