MERIT SCHOLARSHIP, Info needed, Please!

I've been following some of your threads, acceptance info and awards given.
Did you have to apply specifically for each merit award or did it just come with the acceptance letter?
I looked at the Ithaca website and saw the link to 3 merit awards but they seem very restrictive.
Please pass along any information on Merit awards that you can and possibly the stats you/your child had to receive them. I'd like to know if it is practical for my son to apply (is a junior this year and we are compiling our list of schools).
Thanks so much in advance.

If you download the pdf file there is more.
Some of them have separate applications like the MLKJ one and the leadership scholarship (which I applied for).
The other ones you don't have to. When I received my acceptance letter I was informed of a $9000 math and science scholarship I had been awarded and didn't apply for.

unless you are applying to a special scholarship (i.e. leadership, mlk, park) then the merit award should come with your acceptance letter. but, if you don't get anything then, it doesn't mean that you won't later.

Yeah, most just come with the package. I'm not sure what happens with the other scholarships, because I don't qualify for them (not a minority or a communications major).

When I got my acceptance package (which was so adorable <3), there was a sheet in it telling me that I'd gotten the $16000 President's scholarship.

My stats:

GPA: 102 weighted (My school only does the 100 scale, so I don't have that in the 4 scale, sorry! I also don't have unweighted, though if it's helpful I'd venture to guess somewhere around a 97-98?)

Class rank:
Co-rank: 3
Actual rank: 4

SATs: 2100 (1410)
CR: 730
M: 680
W: 690

APs:
AP US History - 5 - 11th grade
AP Biology - 5 - 11th grade
AP Government - Pending - 12th grade
AP Chemistry - Pending - 12th grade
AP Literature and Composition - Pending - 12th grade

Extracurriculars:
School musical: 11th and 12th
National Honor Society: 11th and 12th
People Encouraging A Cooperative Environment (P.E.A.C.E.) Club: 11th and 12th
Creative minds (Writing club): 9th grade
French tutoring: 10th grade
Student government class rep - 12th grade

Also:
National Merit SemiFinalist
1 semester of college French

If it helps, my intended major is Occupational Therapy. I don't know if that makes a difference or not though.
