anyone get an email today just staying decision were coming soon?

We haven't gotten a thing from JMU since sending in the application. Today, got an email that said:

The James Madison University Office of Admissions appreciates your interest and application for admission into our freshman class of 2010. Our staff have spent the past seven months completing and reviewing applications for admission. We are on schedule to mail and post admission decisions by our notification date of early April. You’ll receive notification when our decisions have been mailed to your home address and posted online.

Yup I got this too. As soon as I saw the letters "JMU" in the subject line I started flipping out and was uber disappointed that it was just a reminder.

Do you think this could signify good news?

I'm going to take it as a good sign!
I almost had a heart attack when I opened it, because the phrase "The James Madison University Office of Admissions appreciates your interest and application for admission into our freshman class of 2010" seems like something they would say in a letter of rejection.
I was so glad it was a reminder!
Now I am super excited to get the online decision though....
I'm really nervous too >.<
They should just give decisions two weeks after sending an application like most schools, but I understand why they don't >.<

I thought this was an admit/deny email! I was so disappointed that it was just a reminder. :/ When does JMU usually send out their decisions?

JMU email today....

Don't want anyone to be freaking out, and over analyzing the whole JMU email today. I got one at our home email this morning, then I just got one this afternoon at my work email. So if you haven't gotten one, maybe they were not sent out all at same time. And it seems very generic, just saying decisions are coming soon. Okay, forget all that - lets overnanalyze it (ha ha). Anyone who got in before remember how long after this generic you got the decision? The wait is driving us crazy!!!

I am also a transfer student and didn't get one. I am assuming the email was only sent to freshman applicants. I was told in an email last week after asking for my application status that I will "receive notification of decision during the last week of March." So ill just wait till end of march to start freaking out

i heard march 20, was the date that JMU was notifying applicants for regular decision. I got the same generic email yesterday and for early action as a well and my decision came two weeks following the email but, i was deferred to regular decision.

I think last year, it was about 10 days from the email stating decisions would be out soon, and the email with the online decision. Snail mail letter a few days after. Knew days before the April 1 date.

evm2556, I am also getting an Associates degree this May from Montgomery College in Maryland but my chances are pretty slim compared to yours since im coming from OOS. If your gpa is 3.0+ from NVCC then you are pretty much in from what i have heard. You shouldn't worry man. Whats your major?
