| you'll find that there is a broad range of people here. i know that books and these reviews of hopkins say that the social life suffers here but i can tell you that it isnt true. a lot of people work hard here when they have to, but also play hard when the time is right. of course you have your extremes, with some people that always study or always party... just find a balance.
as far as the frats and sororities, there are a handful of them on campus, generally spread out through the neighborhood. id say weekends start thursday night here with SigEps game night... frats will have theme nights which are fun sometimes. they also only start to rush during the second semester (as opposed to most others). there arent any sorority houses that i know of...
there are other house parties as well... the crew team often has thier own parties... my ultimate team will have one once in a while..
