I'm really into research and they receive more federal funding for research than any other university in the nation. Also they don't have a core curriculum, the class size is small (under 5,000), and the majors I'm into (math and physics) are really small.

4) Amazing diversity (muahah)
5) flexible major changes w/ exception to bme, don;t have to know exactly what you want to major in until end of 1st year
6) clubs...>< idk...but heard they r extremely interesting lol (meant out of campus clubs...like party "clubs")
7) covered grades 1st semester
8) professors at the top of their field
9) Great advising unlike the ucs...
10) Awesome research
11) Neuroscience!

13) Coffee places always within a 45 seconds of walking
14) Petes Grill!
15) Inner Harbor
16) Rock climbing wall in the gym!!
17) Ranked #1 in research opportunities...i believe this gives undergrad atleast some opportunities =D
18) Ranked #3 by US News in which school spends most on students
19) 90% of students who receive med advising get accepted into a med school (should check on this...remember seeing it somewhere not sure if source is valid though)
20) Accepts many AP/IB credits
21)92% law school after advising
22) Awesome library!
23) Best Motto: Veritas vos liberabit (The truth shall make you free)=CIA inscription at their entrance
24) 2 years of housing in campus guarenteed
25) very few classes w/ students over a 100
26) BME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

44) Opportunities due to a near med school and a near hospital
45) The eighth school to have the most asians produce the apps for med school-which means alot of people apply from hopkins, killing off the myth regarding no one getting any rec letters... The list below includes both public and private schools...which is quite shocking since public schools are large and hopkins is small compared to their size...hint: the percentage of our undergrad pop who produce med school apps are great
http://www.aamc.org/data/facts/2006/masian.htm
46) Ranked as 24 as a feeder college into top med, law, and buisness programs after graduation...it should be noted that hopkins rank is lowered a bit since hopkins does not do too well in law and buisness placements in the really high topped schools, but is still placed as 24 for what reason? =D
http://www.collegejournal.com/special/top50feeder.pdf
47) Unlike Duke, which has only 25% of its graduates go directly to med, law, buisness programs, hopkins allows its graduates to fair well in the admission process w/o having the majority of them wait another extra year of their life
Duke is still a cool school though =D
48) Southern state but has a more northern aura to it
49) Lacross team owns
50) One hr drive to washington extremely useful to IR majors
51) Marc Train Service is even more usefull to IR majors.
52) From 2005 data from us news, 49% of graduates immediately attend grad school (unlike duke hehe)...20+% of these graduates go into med schools
53) Medical Tutorial Program offered through preprofessional advising center->receive credit also =D
54) Possible to conduct research on med campus
55) Hospital provides shadowing opportunities

I'd also recommend reading the student blogs...

http://apply.jhu.edu/hi/blogs/blogs.html

...many of their entries discuss why they choose to attend Hopkins, and why it is the right place for them.

HAHA WASH U is located in the most dangerous city in the country? LMFAO. Good thing I didn't apply there. Wash U is way overrated on the US News rankings.
