For those awaiting the decision to JHU for early decision!
As many of you out there, I am nervously awaiting my decision email/letter from JHU! Let's share our worries and anxiety as well as good news here! Go Future Class of 2012!!!

Saturday, 12/15. Email notification at 6PM. Quoting Hopkins Insider:

When will ED notifications be released???

The plan as stated on our web site and in the application materials is to release Early Decision notifications to all ED applicants by December 15th. For the last few years that means we release decisions ON 12.15. I suspect the same will be true this year, but if our plans change and we are able to release decisions a day or two earlier I will update you all through this blog.

When decisions are released that are mailed out during the day and then an email is sent at 6:00pm EST. For further details about the process of notification for ED, please read "Down to the Wire..." and "Notes on the Release of Early Decision Notifications", two blog entries I wrote last December.

I wonder whether the emails will be sent out earlier than 6:00 PM. Last year, December 15th was a Friday. The Hopkins Insider blog explained that because "receiving your college admissions decision should be a personal experience that you share with yourself and your family," the emails would not be sent out "until the majority of our applicants are out of school (3:00 p.m. PST / 6:00 p.m. EST)." This year, December 15th is a Saturday (next Saturday -- just one more week!), so I wonder if we might hear earlier in the day.

Well, the latest Blog said we'll be getting an ED status update later in the week so I'm sure that will clarify all of this.
