Mid Year Reports?

Does JHU require Mid Year Reports for regular admission applicants?
Thanks

Would it be too late if I submitted my Mid-Year report, say, tomorrow?

My first semester ended at the third week of January, so I put it off until my teachers had finalized my grades. However, I did not actually notice that the postmark deadline was the 15th of Feb - and once I realized last week, it was already February Break for my school and I couldn't ask my counseling center to send my materials (since the school was closed for the week).

Do I need a letter (from my counselor or from me) stating that I did not send my mid-year report in time, even though I could during the first week of February? Would this technically be the end of my application, since I missed the deadline? Besides, it takes a long time for stuff to get to the US from where I study in The Netherlands.

It would be pretty sad if I got rejected this way - but I guess I just have to face the consequences.

My school was unable to send out the mid-year reports by February 15 and I was unaware (until now) that a letter had to accompany late mid-year reports. My guidance counselor said my mid-year report will be mailed out on February 19 but since February break is next week, she will be unable to write a letter accompanying the mid-year report. Would it be okay if my guidance counselor sent an e-mail about why the mid-year report is late? or will I be automatically rejected?

Questions about mid-years answered here:
Hopkins Forums -> 2007-08 Application (Deadlines, Forms, etc.)

"Some schools are not able to send mid-year reports by the Feb. 15th deadline. We understand that. In such a case, we request the school send the reports and senior year transcript as soon as it becomes available, and the guidance counselor include a note stating the reason for the delay." The note of explanation from the counselor can also be faxed to 410-516-6025.
