My counselor and teachers told me I should not go for Johns Hopkins due to the numbers...cannot believe the few numbers block my way!! When the admission officers say they look over just numbers, do they really mean it? I hope so. Somehow I’ve never seen anyone got in JHU with numbers like mine..

Woah, easy on those awards and ECs. College admissions officers know that kids who write down that many ECs and awards only do it to look good for college. Write down the stuff that you actually put time into. Stating that you are a member of Mensa only shows that you are pretentious enough to actually join a high IQ society. The GPA hurts, and the SATs are not up to Hopkins par. You need to rethink your strategy for the other colleges you apply to. Aim for personality, and quality over quantity.
