Has anybody heard when is registration for freshmen?

We are trying to plan our trip and are still yet to receive word when registration is. I want to go and visit the school and want to go during registration or an open house. On the website it says registration begins June 12 but I haven't heard from JHU. Anybody know anything?
thanks

Not sure what you mean by registration? Registration for enrolling students takes place over the summer but it is not an on-campus program. It is done through the mail, email, and the web.

Enrolling students will receive their course registration materials in early June through the mail.

There is a one-week Orientation that will take place in late August before the fall semester begins.

As far as Open Houses, there will be three admitted student Open Houses in April - but these events are for students making the decision of whether to enroll at Hopkins.

Hope this helps. If not, please elaborate on what information you are specifically looking for.

AdmissionsDaniel -

"There is a one-week Orientation that will take place in late August before the fall semester begins. "

I looked on the JHU site, which said that orientation began on Sept 2nd, and we booked plane tickets according to that. Is orientation actually late August or beginning of Sept?

Have you already booked tickets for moving in? Wow.... Move-in for next year is (tentitively set for) Sept 1st and 2nd, but when you get your Orientation information, you will be assigned one of the two move in days (based on your building). More info here...

Sorry for the confusion -- I guess the way the calendar is this Fall, Orientation begins the first day of September. Thanks to everyone for passing along the correct details.

Ok so we should just plan to go in september? for orientation. well we want to go before then. Can you tell us a good time to go see the school? I guess I got confused because my step-sister was given different dates in June and July to go to Chapel Hill and "register" for classes as a freshman. I guess that is a Chapel Hill thing.

There are a number of other schools that have Orientation and Registration during the summer -- Chapel Hill being one of them.

As far as visiting the best month is probably April as there are a number of events for admitted students. You can also always visit in the summer time, though there is not as much going on.
