JHU admission process w/ SAT subject tests

Do the SAT subject tests play any difference in the role of the admission process? Or are they just used for placement.

thanks.

Yes, the SAT subject tests matter in the admissions process.

No, the SAT subjects tests are not used for placement.

Oh, and do you prefer hand written applications or online applications?

Actually, we have absolutely no preference as to which application a student uses.

USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION - or just search the Admissions web site as these answers are clearly stated in many places.

At some schools where the staff reads applications online, online applications are more convenient. That is not how things work at JHU -- online applications are downloaded and printed out and then passed as complete paper files to the Admissions staff. Therefore an online application is just like a paper application, and therefore no preference.
