Intersection from January 5 - 23

Hi,
I was just wondering about "intersection" during the period from January 5th to January 23rd (for Krieger) that is posted on the 2008-2009 Academic calendar.

Is this a part of winter break or is are there classes going on? I seem to be unable to find any information on this at the JHU website.

It's called "intercession", and it's an optional period of taking some sort of fun class over spring break.

It's over winter break, and you can register for mini-classes to meet distribution requirements. Also, groups do things--like plays etc.

Oh, and of course it's optional to be here. You could just stay home until the end of January.
