I think you can probably check their admission's website, but I am fairly certain all of Johns Hopkins' notifications go out via regular email, including BME. And I though that acceptance into BME was at the same time/mailing as regular decisions. Will now have to look into that one though.

Their site says regular mail.
Welcome to the Johns Hopkins University Office of Undergraduate Admissions

The thing is though, I am international. What I'm now wondering is whether they will at least send it to internationals via priority mail or something since regular mail can take over 2 weeks to arrive for us.

^They'll send it through regular mail as well as email (I am 99% sure).

I sure hope so. Any idea about when the emails would be released (assuming they also release decisions by email)?

Admissions to BME is a departmental decision and therefore will not be in your notification email. You will get a letter with your admittance package if accepted into JHU telling you if you made BME.

You will be notified prior to April 1st. No official decision release date has been set. When we set a date I will post an update to the Hopkins Insider blog (Hopkins Insider). You can go to the blog right now and vote for what date you think notifications will be released.

BME decisions are included within one's overall acceptance packet.

We will release decisions the same way we always do. Read this blog entry from last year which provides all the information.

No you can't. Johns Hopkins does not have an online system for checking admissions decisions.

JHU does not send out likely letters. It is not a policy we support.

^Yeah, I respect that. They're basically a waste of time/money/effort. That's one of the things I love about Hopkins-they run things the way I would were I in charge.

Thanks so much! I really do appreciate the level of information Johns Hopkins puts out, either on their own blog or here. I admit to probably seeming a little obsessive, but the method to my madness is to dilute my worries here so I seem perfectly calm and assured around my son. He SEEMS to be handing the stress but I think the truth is that all the unknowns make his head spin. So.. thanks for all the info ALL THE TIME!

AdmissionsDaniel,

My son just won a state level award...what is the best way for him to notify the admissions office? Email or fax? Thanks.
