What years does JHU take into account (9-12 or 10-12)? Also, if my school doesn't weight my GPA on the transcript will JHU weight it for me or simply take it as is?

Colleges don't look at weighted GPA because each school weighs GPA differently.

I'm saying my school doesn't weight at all. APs and honors count the same as regular classes. I'm wondering if in the admissions process JHU assigns there own weighing mechanism for APs/Honors to raw GPA.

as in, only your actual unweighted gpa really matters. that is what schools report to the public when they give average gpas

uh, ok.

When I went there and the admissions person was talking, she said that they look at your core academic classes, and they take each grade, and use their own system to give you a GPA (based on JHU terms). BUT, they eventually factor in honors/APs (they have to...they're not going to take someone who has straight As in the easiest courses), and from there they decide and stuff...

They factor in the honors/APs as a way to see the rigor of the schedule. The more rigorous the schedule is, the better (unless you have lower grades). If you maintain a good GPA overall with a rigorous schedule, then it well help a lot.
