Chance ED High SAT Low GPA

OMG I screwed up on title, I meant RD wow ***

Hey guys im from Southern CAL from one of the most competitive schools in the nation.
Class Size 970 (School does not rank)

Biomedical Engineering perhaps with Mech.

My stats

-GPA UW - 3.55**
dont know weighted

**Moved around alot Sophomore year (to Kansas and back)
and this really affected my GPA (HEAVY INFLUENCE TO GPA I am having assistant princiapal write about this)
I lost all furniture etc. and could not get the classes I wanted upon returning
My EC's were also impacted by this

SAT - 2290 (Will Retake DEC. focus on writing)
CR - 760
M - 800
W - 730

Subjects
Math 2 - 790 (retake Nov.)
Physics - 740(retake Nov.)

pretty good stats =)
i think you have a pretty good chance... the admission process is holistic and they take into account everything but i think everything looks good XD

Woah! I can't really help with chances, but I just had to comment. We are eerily similar! My test scores are close to identical to yours as well as ECs and sophomore GPA problems...

lol, I know that doesn't help, but man...that's insane.

BME is the #1 program in the world for undergraduates. I imagine you can't have a blemish on anything for that program.

i'm actually a student at jhu right now. the bme program is NOT just full of super-smart kids with perfect grades/scores, etc. A lot got in because they applied ED or because they are URMs (not to sound mean or anything). It's really holistic..almost too holistic because I feel that part of the reason so many kids drop out of the program is because the school admitted them without thinking whether they could handle the work.

just my 2 cents. so you def have a shot!
