Please chance me for Kenyon!

Would you guys mind chancing me? I'm happy to chance back. I applied under Regular Decision.

ACT:29

GPA: 5.3/5.0 weighted or around a 3.9/4.0 unweighted I believe (I haven't crunched all the numbers it's an estimate but my GPA is strong.)

AP's:
Junior- AP U.S History, AP English, AP Physics (All A's)
Senior: AP Biology, AP Calculus, AP English (All A's)
AP Scores- 4 on U.S History

Other courses: I'm in my fifth year of Spanish, and I'm currently in Creative Writing.

Extracurriculars: Campaign Manager/co-founder of Red Cross Club at my school, Secretary of NHS, Member of Spanish Honor Society. I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, Soup Mobile, a Children's Advocacy Center in my city, Measles Initiative and Relay for Life.

Essay: Pretty strong. I explained my experience of going through my older brother's drug addiction with a metaphor.

Hook: I go to a project based learning school- A New Technology High. It makes me stand out, I think?

I also interviewed with the regional rep back in October. I feel that it was obvious to her how nervous I was, but overall it went well. A half-way decent but not excellent interview is better than none.

Supplements- I feel that the first two supplement questions are pretty strong, but my third answer (What makes you a fit for Kenyon) was rushed and I only explained one reason. Does screwing up on one question basically ruin my chances with Kenyon or do I still have a shot?

I applied as English and second choice International Studies.

Thank you in advance!

Well, you didn't mention about your SAT scores, SAT subject test scores and your demand of financial aid? If you mention this I think i can chance you more well..WIth what you have written I think you are slightly above a normal candidate!

I didn't take SAT or SAT II's. Yes, a tad strange, but Kenyon says that SAT II's aren't required and SAT or ACT works. As for financial need (I just learned that Kenyon isn't need-blind), I am about in the middle. My father is a teacher which basically means we don't have a very high income--it's around $40,000 a year. This could be bad for my chances. But honestly, if a school rejects me because of my need, then it's not a school I want to be at.

Fleetfoxes, this is probably silly of me, but I was under the impression that most schools these days were need-blind! How does one go about finding out whether or not a school is need-blind?
