Kenyon vs. Carleton

I posted on the Carleton site and have received very helpful input comparing both schools. D is accepted at both and is now in the decision making stage of choosing where to go.
Any Kenyon posters have insights, impressions, opinions on a comparison of the two?

I think the major differences are as follows:

I think the major differences are as follows:
Kenyon probably has better known English and performing arts departments (The studio arts should go way up in standard once the two new $35 million dollar arts buildings are completed). Carleton probably has better known science departments, although Kenyon has a relatively new set of state of the art science buildings, so that might be changing. They are both relatively rural, but Carleton is obviously in a colder climate and receives more snow. Carleton has more available financial resources. Kenyon has a better athletic center, although Carleton's is also very nice. Carleton has a reputation for being more stressful academically, though once again the difference can’t really be that great. The Princeton Review ranks Kenyon's professors and classroom experience above Carleton's, but says Carleton students have a higher standard of on campus living, then again Kenyon's main diving hall has been under renovation for the last two years, and we’re currently eating in the old gym, so that’s hard to argue.

Winters in Northfield will be brutal, not that they are splendid in Gambier by any means. Just thought I would throw that out there...

Kenyon vs. Carleton

I believe Carleton is on a trimester system and
Kenyon is on a semester system. You might want
to compare the academic year calendars.
