Ohio State or Kenyon?

I see advantages to either school.

Ohio State:
-Bigger, more diverse, more student organizations
-Because it's so big, there's tons of stuff to do. (I've heard Kenyon is big on drinking, which I'm not really a fan of)
-A lot more classes to choose from
-A lot cheaper (for me)
-Located in Columbus

Kenyon:
-Known as an academic powerhouse
-personal attention from Professors who are more freindly than Distant
-Walkable campus (I won't be able to drive for quite some time, lol)

Basically, which one do you think has more weight when it comes to applying to Grad school? Or does it really matter? There seems to be more advantages at Ohio State, but the advantages to Kenyon carry more weight to me. Anyone else have things to add? Replies? lol...

I think the choice is obvious if your intended major(s) are available at Kenyon and you are not worried about the cost differential. However, in your case apply to each and choose Kenyon if you get a good deal. Also, I am pretty sure the Buckeyes are also big on drinking, as are college students at any non-niche school.

Yah, that sort of looks like what I'm going to do, apply and hope I get a great deal. But on OSU's drinking, I know, especially at the games, there's going to be a lot of drinking. But because it's such a big school it has a lot of organizations I could join that are inherently drunk-free. It's no so much about alcohol as it is about people being stupid and getting drunk.

There are people who drink at every school and people who don't. I think chances are the ratio of work done to alcoholic beverages consumed is a lot higher at Kenyon than at OSU. In terms of Grad school, a Kenyon degree will have more weight. In terms of a job in Columbus, there's probably not a lot of difference considering the number of alum from OSU who worship the school. As usual, MolBioAce's advice is good.
