When you apply online, is it ONLY by the LFC online application? Or does the Common App work, too? I sent the Common App yesterday and I just emailed the school. Crap crap crap.
Yeah, I know CA works but I suppose I wasn't very clear lol. I did this in a rush while I was still operating in "panic" mode. I meant when you apply to LFC online before 12/01, if your fee is waived ONLY if you use the LFC application. And it is. If you use common app, you're going to be charged a fee for doing so and I def. didn't want that to happen (not when I made sure to apply relatively early to make sure I didn't have to pay anything!!) So I called the school (not the 1-800 number... that person was kind of mean to me =/ I used the 1-847 number after b/c I'm local and I live about 10 minutes away from Lake Forest so it wouldn't be long distance haha XD I guess they were two different people *shrug*) and then they waived my fee, thankfully.

No, I don't go to LFA I wanted to, but my sister was in college at the time and my parents said no to all private school (up until that point, I had had private schooling for my entire life), both LFA and Carmel (in Mundelein). Which sucked muchly (esp. since my parents were only paying like 5-10k/yr for 3 years since my sister had a lot of AP credits coming in and cut down most of her fees) and I was very disappointed at the time. My younger brother got the option of private school but he opted not to. He's not that academically motivated so yeah, that made sense. Oh well. Yep yep yep.
it's cool. i've attended pvt. for 6 years during my academic life and right now i'm attending a public school. Though i have had the chance to attend a pvt. school again but my public school is a top national public school so yeah w/e lol guess what>? i'll be in lake forest this saturday lol xD some prof's son is giving me a tour there at lfc.

I'm considering a double major in Politics and either English or Psychology. I'm planning on being a politician (haha, yeah *g*) and I'm considering either a career in journalism (what I reaaaaaally want to do) or forensic psychiatry (what I probably should do lol). I'm really leaning towards the former, though; it really employs my talents and interests.
Oh, and I'm definitely using my atypical characteristics to make sure I stand out (since I'm Asian and all XD I'm pretty sad to watch in any science class, and I've only taken honors and science will be the only area where I won't take any AP in hahaha *sucks*, and I hate hate hate hate HATE math. Nor do I play an instrument... anymore XD I sing! Tralalala! rofl XD) Ohhh yes. Hahaha.
