Liberty University Law School!

Do y'all have any comments on this school? I know that it is accredited, but do you have any comments about the school? Good, bad, etc? Thanks!

I vaguely recall having heard of it. I think it was the punchline of a joke.

It's Jerry Falwell's law school. Oral Roberts had a law school once upon a time, but he gave it to Pat Robertson. (I'm not making this up; it was known at the time as CBN University; now it's Regent University.)

If that's the kind of thing that floats your boat, go for it.

That's kind of funny.

I perused through their website for a couple minutes; it seems as if they pride themselves on being a "Christian" law school -- whatever that means.

Number of Applications: 752
Class Size: 164
Avg. LSAT: 154; Median LSAT: 153
Avg. GPA: 3.35; Median GPA: 3.3

Mission Statement

Regent Law School seeks to admit students who take seriously the critical roles they will assume as future counselors, conciliators, defenders of the faith, effective client advocates and followers of Christ.

Strong academic credentials are crucial, but we also place significance on the personal statement and letters of recommendation. The personal statement gives the admissions committee insight into the student's motivation for studying law and reveals his or her desire to receive a legal education integrated with Christian principles. We are looking for men and women who are dedicated to becoming Christian leaders who will change the world for Christ.

-> Pat Robertson graduated from Yale Law, Ironically; He did not pass the bar exam.

Are those good stats? Just out of curiosity, what is the highest LSAT score one can receive. If I attended this school, would I be doing myself harm; would I have trouble getting a job?

No. 180. Depends what kind of job -- certainly not a six figure corporate law job with a top law firm, unless Pat Robertson himself is doing the hiring

Regent University Law School is a 4th-tier LS, which is also the lowest you can go with accredited LS.
