Am I an Underrepresented Minority (URM)?

I'm not sure if I qualify as an URM, could someone please help?

Characteristics:
-Male
-50% native Brazilian (Mother)
-25% French Canadian and 25% British Canadian (Father)

I was told that if I'm 50% Brazilian I qualify as an URM, however I'm not sure what I would be because Brazil isn't Hispanic (because it was colonized by Portugal not Spain). However, I also heard that it was still qualified as Latin American since it traces its culture and language back to the same roots as Spanish (Ancient Latin) and is in South America.

Thanks for your help!

It's your call. I would just put down Hispanic on the application, and then if they ask you about it, you can tell them the story, and sort it out then.

Personally, No. If you have to ask, you probably aren't. People who are UM *know it*. But that's my 2 cents.

Maybe you should contact the law school you are interested in and see which groups they classify as underrepresented minority.
