Does anybody else have this learning disability?

I have trouble retaining information, and my grammer is horrid, reading things i can't understand even if people read them outloud. Can somebody succeed in getting a bachelour with this learning disability? I'm good at picture memorizing things though that is the only strenght i have. also i'm bad at hard math i was very very good in alegebra but calculus really turn a number on me maybe i just didn't get help i was ashame. I even was going to be put in special ed but i was stubborn and i regret not doing that.

you need to be retested, get a diagnosis, and go from there. See if your local community college has any programs that you can start with, and transfer to a 4 year program after being successful at Community college.

Make an appointment with the Counselor's Office at your local community college. Explain your situation and see if there is funding through them to have you tested. If they can't test you for free, they should be able to refer you to an agency who can help you. You can also try organizations like the Learning Disabilities Association: Home | Learning Disabilities Association of America They have a great website with a lot of helpful information. Good luck!

You can compensate! This is real but you will be fine. It takes me longer to study but you just need to study differently. You can confide in a counselor at school and ask for testing and how to get extra time. But even if you don't, use these study tips:

- allow yourself extra time - don't be overscheduled
- focus on only 1 or 2 extracurriculars - don't be overextended
- repetition is key; repetition will work
- as you read, takes notes on a separate paper in outline form
- learn your own form of shorthand to make note taking quicker
- highlight main ideas in one color and secondary information in another
- re-read your outline
- rest/wait a day
- repeat
