How much improvement is possible?

Hi Everyone,
I'm currently a freshman in college and the other day, just for fun, I decided to take a practice LSAT. I've never studied or even seen LSAT questions before and I got a 165. With studying, how many points is it possible to improve? I'm shooting for a 170 or above. Is this achievable?

Also, could anyone lend me some insight as to when the best time during college is to take the LSAT? As of right now I am looking to apply early to UMich law.

You have a very good chance of getting 170+ if you got a 165 cold as a freshman. I'd say with a bit of studying, you could prob score 172-173, and with alot of studying probably even higher.

Typically people take the lsat either late junior year, or early senior year.

You can easily get into the 170+ range with practice.

Your problem is the school that you are looking at attending.

I would only attend Harvard, Yale, or Stanford these days due to the changes in the legal job market. Anything else and you are risking not being able to pay back your loans.

I would practice until you get above 175 consistently on the practice tests.
