We didn't hear anything yet...I forgot the deadline but I think it was later than others, maybe the 30th of Jan. I hope they let you know earlier, but they don't have too.

Here is a copy of the above link to the Marist website ....

    Application Plan Application Deadline
    Early Decision November 15
    Early Action December 1
    Regular Admission February 15

    When are admission decisions mailed?
    Application Type Notification of Decision
    Early Decision December 15
    Early Action January 31
    Regular Admission April 1

According to this, early action will be notified by January 31st not the 15th.

^yes, Marist has since updated the info on their site since my post in #4. According the the website, EA decisions will be mailed Jan. 31st.

That is late for EA, has it always been that way? I guess I'm used to the Dec15-31st dates for a lot of colleges.

My D and a friend both received letters yesterday. They were not acceptance letters, and they were not rejection letters. They were "thanks for applying ea but we're going to wait until 4/1 to give our decision letters!"

So that means you have been deferred to the regular decision pool.. still a chance for admission....

My daughter received a letter from Marist "While we are impressed with your application..." please send mid year grades....*some* applicants who are deferred are accepted...
Soes anyone know the odds of being accepted in the regular decision if you were not accepted early action?
