What would happen if I transfer to MIT from Caltech

1.Would I have a decent shot if my GPA (at Caltech) is consistent?
2.How frequent does this happen? 1-2 a year? 15-20?
3.Could I do my Bachelors degree xD at one place and Masters at another? Like is this awkward?
4.Which majors does each school emphasize more? For example, MIT has Sloans management school and I don't think Caltech has one.. Or do they?
5.The two locations... Pasadena and Boston... Which one is more populated xD
6.Does MIT have a honor code like CIT? Or special privilege to labs
7.Does MIT have a 24 hour access library?
8.Who got the Beaver mascot first?

There are two of us that 'defected' this past term, but two anecdotes do not make a pattern. Definitely possible, but obviously chancing is absolutely impossible.

More information about what you intend to major in is useful.

MIT does *not* have an honor code like Caltech's - exams are proctored and not take-home, and access to buildings and labs is slightly more restrictive than at Caltech.

No, it's pretty normal -- there's no expectation that you would go to the same school for both your bachelor's and master's degrees. MIT has some five-year bachelor's plus master's degrees that are restricted to people who are MIT undergrads, and I assume Caltech might have the same kinds of programs, but the general master's programs are open for application by anyone from any school.

Some MIT 5 year SB/M.Eng Programs

I am not Mollie but, I will try to answer this question in some context.

Course 6 (Electrical and Computer Science and Engineering) has a program similar to that.
6-P The Masters of Engineering Program | MIT EECS

Course 10 (Chemical Engineering) and Course 22 (Nuclear Engineering) do as well.
MIT Course Catalog: Department of Chemical Engineering

Course 20 (Bioengineering) also has a similar program.
MIT Course Catalog: Department of Biological Engineering

Course 2 (Mechanical Engineering) has one.
MIT Course Catalog: Department of Mechanical Engineering

These are some programs offered at MIT in the engineering school.
