Hi folks,
I was trying to submit the first form of the MyMIT application and I submitted all the details and in the end, after I clicked "submit registration" the page gave me an "error 500"
I was wondering if this is my problem or a problem everyones having.
I'm having the same issue: it won't let me create a MyMIT account. I told my counselor today and he said he would email admissions and let me know what they say. I thought I made an account over the summer when I registered for a visit. Does anyone know if these accounts refresh each admissions season? Will I have to make a new account? Or did I do something differently before?
Just got an email today that the MyMIT registration is open. I thought that meant it would work now, but when I tried to create an account, it still didn't work! I'm stressing because I want to apply SCEA!
Okay guys, here's some advice straight from the man with the plan, Matt McGann, himself:
Quote:
1. If you are having persistent problems with MyMIT, the best bet is to contact us and let us know. Email and phone both work. 617-253-3400 or admissions@mit.edu.
2. Many issues we have found are due to attempting usernames that are incompatible with MyMIT. All MyMIT usernames should begin with a letter (not a number) and should not include a . or a space.
3. We have had some reports of issues related to Google Chrome; you may want to try another browser.
4. Be sure your browser has cookies enabled.
5. Navigating back and forth using the browser arrows and/ or opening multiple windows will cause a problem. The best bet is to use the Previous / Next links within MyMIT rather than the browser’s buttons.
6. Again: if you are having persistent problems with MyMIT, the best bet is to contact us and let us know. Email and phone both work. 617-253-3400 or admissions@mit.edu.
