Haven't fulfilled SAT 2 Testing requirements...worth it to apply

Okay so here's the deal. I HAVE taken two SAT subject tests but while one of them is Math 2 the other one is not a science whereas MIT wants one science subject test. Why? Because I applied to some colleges last year and I got accepted but couldn't go due to other opportunities.

Those schools didn't require a science SAT 2 (just any two in general). However, this year, while I'm reapplying MIT has popped up my radar. Moreover, I want to major in something that is not science or engineering (Economics). All my essays and activities demonstrate this.

While I know that MIT general requirements state that even if one gets admitted they have to take some physics and chemistry and I wouldn't mind. But right now, I will not have the opportunity to take the Subject Test

Can I still apply despite not having a science Subject Test ( I know it's a requirement but I'm hoping the adcoms will look at the other stuff)?

You can start the application. The question is if they can overlook that little discrepancy. But you'll never know if you don't apply. Just saying.

Why can't you take one? There's one more test date before early, and three for regular.

No. One math SAT II and one science SAT II are required.

Thanks for the responses. I'll be taking a science subject test.
