Do colleges like MIT look at PSAT scores for admissions? Cause I haven't prepared at all for them and am starting to get a little worried.

No. Making National Merit would be a good thing, but no, schools don't ask for or know your PSAT score.

MIT looks at, and requires, SAT I and two SAT II scores (a math and a science). They do not consider PSAT scores, and do not offer National Merit Scholarships.

Don't worry about your PSAT; study SAT I and II. ACT (with writing) can substitute the SAT I requirement.

Thanks for the clarification Mootmom. I didn't mean to infer MIT offered NM scholarships. I only meant that being a NM finalist is something you could include on your application.

Right, and that's a fine thing! And I knew that's what you meant: we cross-posted, so I hadn't seen what you'd posted when I was writing up mine. :) All is well!

Thank you! That's one less thing for me to worry about this last week of summer vacation. :D
