"Frosh" is one way to pluralize "freshman".

A mass of contradictions.
Exhilarating, yet exhausting.
Social, yet isolated.
Fun, yet torturous.
Yet, I'm glad I'm here. ^_^

3.091 is amazing because of Sadoway. And because I've taken 2 years of high school chem so it's all review thus far. 8.012 was the hardest thing I've ever seen, so I dropped it down to 8.01 (Dourmashkin) and now I'm a much happier person. 18.023 is by far my favorite class because Benney is the funniest person alive. Quote: "I just like to bang it out algebraically." Good man. I like my essay class and seminar with Rodney Brooks too. Crew is hell (but in a good way), and I live in a quad in Baker but my roommates are awesome. Except for the one who has decided "KareBear" is an acceptable shortening of "Karen" lol. How is everyone else doing?

...I am not a great fan of Physics nor am I that good at it, but Burgasser is amazing, which is the main reason I'm still in 8.012. 5.112 is amusing they made wear these glasses, like the 3-D type, to look at light spectrum. And week did Rutherford backscattering experiment in class. We threw ping-pong balls...but it was in a lecture hall and I was in the front some balls ended up bopping me on the head. ^^; Is anyone else here in 5.112?

I know, he was so cool... but I was so confused. And the pset took so very long. Dourmashkin is pretty amazing too.

8.012 psets are epic. they rival unified (and that's 24 units).

Good - that means I didn't bail before they started to make sense. I wanted to think I was getting while the getting was good haha. I'll settle for living 8.012 vicariously through my Course 8 roommate.

8.012 is just about an hour per question with about eight questions, right? Why not challenge yourself and get loads smarter this semester? 8.022 took me about 8 hours a pset; now that I'm a Junior, all of my psets take at least 8 hours - and if you're getting into the higher level grad math/physics courses, you might expect double that.
If you can't really handle the class, then work up to it; but don't wimp out of a class you could handle, during pass/no-record, just out of laziness.

I agree 100% with ^---. If you don't rely on collaboration to replace thinking hard about every problem, you will get a boatload smarter.
