Big, fat, wonderful envelopes await the Regular Action folks (like me last year).
I actually talked to Ben about this (and I will try to mention this on the blogs when I get the chance), but there are two reasons RA action admits don't get tubes. One is, basically, the cost. The second and (in my opinion) more important one is that a lot of the actual "admissions" materials aren't ready to be sent out when EA decisions are released, so there simply isn't enough *stuff* to make a big envelope for EA. Instead, Ben and the rest of the Admissions office got clever and came up with the idea of the Tube so that EA kids still got something cool in the mail, even if it wasn't a traditional "big envelope.
If I remember correctly 2-3 years ago, there was huge controversy / consternation at MIT because accepted students received a Tube and rejected students received.............. NOTHING at all, for nearly week, because someone forgot to mail the reject letters. It was ugly!
I have been assured that there may yet be a surprise for RA people in their big envelopes...I can't and won't say anything more than that. If I turn out to be wrong, forget I said it.
(I didn't get a poster either, so don't feel too bad.)
aznfishy: Hopefully soon! In my experience the post office can be kind of random about these things, but time will tell.
