| BU, Wellesley, Simmons Girls Why are they all so attracted to MIT frats, or why do they seem to be attracted? |

| I have no idea, but I find it annoying. It's one of the reasons I stopped going to frat parties. ;-) |

| I'd actually be interested in hearing it, KnightMair. Feel free to drop me an email/PM if you'd rather.
LauraN: I tend to prefer MIT girls at parties. I have nothing against girls from BU, Wellesley, Simmons, etc. - but I feel that it's much easier for someone from MIT to understand me, without stereotyping, than it is for a girl from some other college. *shrug* |

| The reasons for BU girls are relatively straightforward:
1. BU is incredibly close to MIT (some MIT frats are on BU campus) so it is convenient to go to MIT frat parties.
2. BU has around a 60-40 female-male undergrad population
No idea about the others. |

| Can I get some more opinions? I prefer a PM, as to not create a stir. |

| Can you PM me too? I'd like to hear.
It's funny, there was a class on stereotyping here that a cruft was telling me about - and EVERY girl in the class had felt the need to lie about where she went to school (when she was at a bar), yet NONE of the men felt this way.
I should go to Caltech and find a boyfriend... |

| Um, we already told you. It's because BU has far more women than men, and Simmons and Wellesley have none. So if they want to meet guys, they have to go elsewhere. Like MIT frat parties. I imagine that they also think that getting together with an MIT guy will be easier, because they are nerdy/desperate/unused to cute girls flirting with them, whatever. This may or may not be fair of them.
That's really all there is to it. I don't see how there can be some elaborate theory on this subject which requires a PM.... |

| Who wouldn't be attracted to MIT guys? They're smart, many of them can fix stuff and be very handy, and they have the potential to make large sums of money upon graduation.
I mean, maybe I'm biased because I married one, but what's not to love? |

| I wonder if the male population here overall is more attracted to non-MIT girls, though. |
