good luck to all!
that said, don't read CC too much! I remember pulling myself away from CC last year so I wouldn't get caught up in all the paranoia and omg-I-can't-get-in attitude. now, of course, is a different story.

haha aurona! I had that "OMG I am totally not getting in" attitude all first semester... like " OMG I CAN"T get a B in college physics class.. , i can't afford todo this or do that"
then the deferral letter came... i pretty much gave up hope all of second semester... but getting in is always a good surprise. however, I knew i wouldn't have died if I don't get in either since I learned to like my second choice school.

!! rainynightstarz, that is like my year in a nutshell. except it was a college math class. I got deferred too, and I thought I was going to my... third choice. (My choices also changed every few days, but that's how the ranking was at the end.)

Also, does anyone know what happens if the interviewer doesn't live nearby? They assigned me someone with the same area code as me, but our whole state has the same area code...He lives about 5-6 hours away...

Your interview can be waived, and it won't hurt you in admissions- send interview at mit dot edu an email, though, and see if they can't put you with anyone closer. Explain it to them the way you explained it to us.
